DVD & CD DUPLICATION AND REPLICATION

Castlecross is a leader in DVD and CD authoring, duplication, printing and packaging. For many years we have manufactured CD and DVD for our own productions. Since 2005 we have handled authoring, copying, print design and packaging for productions by others including Tyne Tees Television, Granada Television, Carlton, Border Television and Northern Heritage.

Your older productions with commercial value can be given a new lease of life when the original master is digitised and colour corrected before being transcoded and authored to offer the highest possible DVD playback compatibility ready for distribution. Productions can also be transcoded to a variety of low bandwidth formats for Internet viewing.

For one offs and smaller DVD and CD runs we can duplicate UV coated discs using our in-house Copydisc and Artmaster automated disc production system

The Artcoater robotic auto-load unit applies a very fine UV protective finish for CD’s and DVDs, providing protection for the artwork from sunlight fading, smudging and handling.

The resulting DVDs and CDs are attractive, durable and of professional appearance.

For larger quantities intended for mass distribution and/or retail sale, we can replicate DVDs and CDs using the glass mastering & pressing/ stamping method with added regional coding and copy protection if required. Our services include video encoding, authoring motion menus and chapters, sub-title insertion, DLT mastering, packaging design and printing. Our high volume throughput means that we can pass on lower prices to you.

We provide in-house on-body full colour printing; inkjet for duplicated discs, silk screened oroffset litho for replicated discs.

Discs are supplied either in slip cases, jewel cases, trigger cases or library cases and can be clear plastic over-wrapped for enhanced appearance and security. Case inserts, inlays, booklets, brochures etc are produced from your artwork or we can design from your images and text. Bar-codes can also be included.
